The event was attended by 54 representatives of businesses and customs brokers. During the meeting were discussed issues related to the electronic customs declaration and simplified procedure of customs clearance of goods at the company location. It was put in discussion the status of authorized economic operator and the new changes to customs regulations on conditions for obtaining it. Another subject of a big interest was the status of approved exporter and the simplified procedure of obtaining the certificate of origin of goods.

FSEA members present at the meeting were active in expressing the problems and difficulties related to Customs Service and customs clearance procedures. Among the main issues that affect FSEA members are: value in customs, clearance of goods at the company location when exporting in small quantities with personal car, the high level of criterias for becoming an approved exporter, the possibility of postponing the payment of taxes when importing and others. Following to the identified problems FSEA will submit a Position Paper that will underline all the aspects and describe how they affect small businesses. We will come up with potential solutions to these problems and advocating for having dialogues and meetings with Customs representatives to find constructive solutions.
