The Alliance of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises of Moldova has conducted an in-depth study on the small producer sector and the actions to be implemented by the government to support the development of the SME sector. The study comes with a complex analysis of the situation of SMEs and the impact of the COVID pandemic on the sector, with an increased focus on the situation of small producers. It reveals key trends regarding the dynamics of SMEs in the context of the pandemic, the most important barriers/constraints in entrepreneurial activity as well as the generation of short- and medium-term solutions to support SMEs. The study is to serve as a benchmark for the next policy proposals sent by AIM to the authorities. This activity is carried out with the support of the Soros Foundation Moldova.
