From December 2022 to June 2024, the Employers’ Association “Alliance of Small and Medium Enterprises of Moldova” implemented the project “Digitalization Resource Hub for SMEs”, with the support of the Future Technologies Project (FTA), funded by USAID, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

The project aimed to support SMEs in adopting e-commerce and digital sales channels, helping to reduce the gap between suppliers and consumers. Within the project, small and medium-sized enterprises had the opportunity to interact with industry specialists, share their experiences, identify existing gaps, and find effective solutions for the digital transformation of their businesses.

1. Offline course on e-commerce: “E-commerce from Zero to Profit”

– 46 participants

– 4 modules: Introduction to E-commerce – why it is necessary to sell online. First Steps in Creating an Online Store. Developing Your Online Store. Different Alternatives for Selling Online. The recorded course can be accessed free of charge.

2. Organized 10 “Ask an Expert” events

– 21 speakers
– 345 participants
– 10 topics covered, including: Opportunities for developing e-commerce for SMEs. Applying for ODA grants. Listing products on marketplaces. Selling on Amazon. Using the Facebook platform, and more

3. Mentorship on supporting companies in adopting e-commerce solutions

– 11 mentors
– 30 beneficiaries/companies The mentorship program enabled participants to: Acquire skills in developing marketing strategies and optimizing websites. Manage digital advertising campaigns effectively. Successfully implement optimized campaigns on Google Ads and social media, improving online visibility and engagement. Create and execute social media communication plans aligned with organizational goals. Expand into international markets, and more

4. Development of the platform ecomert.online
