FSEA attended on October 26th the meeting of the working group on „Stimulation and Retention of Private Investments” within the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council (PMEAC).
The main subject of the agenda was the modifications to the Laws nr.180 and nr.200 regarding the foreigners employment, specifically the registration and obtaining residence permits for foreign citizens.
FSEA members have encountered problems with the Bureau of Migration and Asylum regarding International Investor Visa. The procedures and norms accepted at the State Registration Chamber (CIS) are not accepted at the Bureau of Migration and Asylum. We brought attention to these problems and advocated on behalf of a clear, transparent and painless process that can govern the review and acceptance of foreign company’s registration documents and the application of incoming investors as foreign investors in Moldova.
FSEA will continue to evaluate the laws and procedures in this area and will be presenting suggested reforms and clarifications at future meetings with the PMEAC.
The working group’s goal is to stimulate and create proper conditions for private investments good functioning and retaining.
