On April 4th FSEA attended the meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs (MIA), Mr. Alexandru Jizdan. The meeting was organized by the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council (PMEAC).
The participants had the possibility to discuss the issues related to the activity of the MIA and its subordinated institutions. The biggest obstacles underlined were in relation to the National Inspectorate of Patrol. One of the problem are the fines for parking in prohibited places. The companies face this problem when delivering goods to the retail points and park the cars for loading / unloading. The Minister said that it is appropriate to develop new provisions in the existing legislative and normative acts that clearly define the conditions of parking for stores suppliers. In this regard the Minister proposed a technical meeting to be addressed only issues related to the National Inspectorate Patrol activity.
Another obstacle refers to some articles of the Law on Security and Intelligence of Moldova and the Criminal Code. The problems underlined were the allowance of state institutions to have multiple mechanisms in the fight against informational crimes.
The participants to the meeting asked the Minister to involve business community in the process of drafting amendments in order to prevent difficulties that may occur during the actual implementation of the law.
During the meeting it was also discussed the procedure for issuing residence and work permits for foreign citizens in Moldova and the final document that regulate this process will be put to the Government in the shortest time.
At the end of the debates it was decided to organize regular meetings with Minister of Internal Affairs and business community to ensure a constructive dialogue and remove the constraints for entrepreneurial activity in Moldova.
