FSEA participated at a roundtable discussion of fiscal and budget policy proposals for the 2017 organized by Expert Group on August 23.
The participants at the open discussions were the Ministry of Finance, representatives of employers, business associations, trade unions, relevant state institutions, donors and independent experts.
In the first part of the event representatives of the Ministry of Finance presented the main topics of the budgetary policy for fiscal year 2017.
The main changes proposed by the Ministry of Finance on the new fiscal policy are related to the: income tax particularly those related to taxation of real estate by individuals (including homesteads), taxation of professional activities related to the justice, income from independent activities (instead of entrepreneur patent), the capital gain, etc. Another change would be the change of the ceilings for the property tax and local taxes. Also have been suggested some changes related to excise duties and in particular: tobacco, fuel and alcohol, cars.
In the second part of the event participants have come up with suggestions and recommendations on the main topics of the document.
The Ministry of FInance intend to approve the budgetary policy for fiscal year 2017 by the end of the current year.
